Wrapping Up For Summer

Hi Guys!

So recently the weather has been horrible and that got me thinking about coats and jackets that would be suitable for spring/summer. You don't want to go back to wearing your winter coat so here is a few brighter options that I have found.

First up is this boyfriend blazer from Missguided. I love it because the colours available are on trend and it can be thrown over pastel or floral prints to make sure you keep warm whilst still making the most of your summer purchases. It is available in Pink (as pictured), yellow and black however I would seriously suggest checking out the website because I am pretty sure you could get any style coat in any colour!

Kimono's are massive this season and I just loved the colours and print of this one from New Look. I think it is the perfect cover up as can just be added to any simple out to make it look like you tried really hard. In addition this one is quite short compared to some which come longer, which might be more suitable for the shorter girls out there (like myself). Definitely a winner for me!

I couldn't resist this jacket when I saw it on ASOS. I love the bomber shape anyway and think it offers a good in between from a winter jacket to summer cover ups. However the colour really caught my eye, on the website it is called 'pastel grey' but to me it looks slightly holographic, another hot trend right now. This is a good way to make a statement without standing out too much.

And finally the denim jacket. Im pretty sure every girl needs one of these in their wardrobe to throw on during chilly evenings or trips to the beach. Perfect with summer dresses or coloured jeans, it really is a statement piece for a spring/summer wardrobe. I love this one from H&M because it is available in a range of different denim colours and isn't cropped!

I hope this has helped you guys with some inspiration for the colder days! Fingers crossed the sun makes an appearance soon.

Don't forget to let me know what is on your wish list @NEwishlist on twitter.

Swimwear Selection

Hi Guys!

I thought I would do a review of some of the new swimwear I have bought this year and also point out some that I am loving. I always think you need to buy new bikinis to go on holiday but with so many gorgeous options I do tend to get carried away.

In genera I find that River Island is my go to place when I first want to look for bikini's due to previous good experiences. The first bikini I have, which I actually bought last year so the colour is actually neon pink instead of the pastel hues that are on trend this year. I wanted to show you guys though because the cut on it is so flattering! I also received a ton of compliments so it'll definitely be coming away with me again this year. I can't seem to find the pink top online so I will link to the mint version which is just as nice.

Also from River Island I have just bought the limited edition embellished bikini. It is a coral/peach colour but it caught my eye because I think the sequin embellishment will reflect the sun on the beach or by the pool and make it look extra special.

My final River Island bikini purchase is very different from the other two as it is green and yellow and extremely busy. However I love the zig zag print and I think the metal V centre helps to break it up. I would warn you with this one that I found the top pretty small! This could be mixed and matched too with a plain top or bottoms if you don't want something as busy.

The next bikini has been all over the internet, probably because it is such a bargain! The top is just £4 and the bottoms are £3. It again has a split side on the bottoms which I love and I think the colours will look great with a golden tan. Primark is definitely the place to go to find bargain swimwear that is on trend.

I have been looking for a swimsuit everywhere since last summer and I must be super fussy because there has been nothing I like. I then found a monochrome one piece on Boohoo that took my fancy, only to find out it was sold out in my size. Lucky enough I found this blue and pink version that was £5 cheaper!

Now the bikini that is the top of my wishlist is of course from Triangl (talk about saving the best until last). I absolutely love their metallic bottoms but they are yet to bring out a metallic top so I have picked my current favourite, although this changes all the time because they are just too nice.  This one works out at about £53, but after reading reviews and seeing so many flattering pictures I think it is an investment worth making. I hope in the future this will be a triangl review instead of just a lust.

I hope you enjoyed this post! I absolutely love swimwear so let me know if you want to see some more from my collection or picks from the high street.

Cleated Soles

Apologies for the delay in this post but I really wanted to take my new platforms outside to shoot but the typical British weather made this impossible! However I now present to you the most beautiful shoes I own...

Kelis Cleated Sole Platform Heel Shoes £39.99

Believe it or not, these shoes are actually so comfortable and I think they just make any outfit look complete- these will definitely be getting lots of wear throughout the summer! Public desire also do some other beautiful shoes, I am eyeing up a black pair so that I can literally wear these beauties all the time! (I also featured a similar pair in my last post)

Some other platforms I am dying to get my hands on are more of a lace up boot, however they also feature a side zip to make getting them on and off easier. I also think the pink colour is great for summer but the style means they can be worn whilst it is a bit chilly! I also think the contrasting sole makes them even more versatile.

Wesley Pink Chunky Lace Up Boots £45

There are so many new style being bought out to replicate the Jeffery Campbell's but unfortunately if I would be hear all day listing the ones I want! I know that Missguided and Boohoo are both introducing similar platforms but I also suggest you check out Ark Clothing for some slightly different options and students get 20% off!

Pretty Little Everything!!

After having a browse round and finding what I wanted to tell you guys about next I stumbled onto Pretty Little Thing which is a website I clearly haven't been paying enough attention to recently!

Firstly I absolutely fell in love with this co-ord, especially because it's green and that makes it so different from anything else I have seen recently! The daisy print is perfect for summer and I like the fact it is a swing skirt rather than body con. It is also available in pink for those who aren't so enthusiastic about the pink!

The next jacket reminded me of something you would find in Zara, but pay 10x more for! This yellow cropped jacket just screams summer to me and is perfect to thrown on in an evening when it gets chilly. It comes in a range of colours and I am so tempted to buy several of these as I think they are such statement items that would benefit any wardrobe.

I have stuck with the yellow theme for the next item! This cute little shift dress, which I think you can just throw on and look effortlessly stylish, is just £26. It is also quilted which makes me love it just a bit more! The colours and pattern work so well together it is just shouting 'buy me'.

The next item is actually something I think would be great to wear to the airport. When your going away you always want to look your best but you definitely need to be comfortable. I also find that planes are freezing cold but when you warm you step outside and are immediately baking hot, so it is impossible to dress suitably. You can add a belt to dress it up a bit or if you are just going for comfort, it also looks great without.

I'm sure I have said a number of times how much I love shirts, so surprise surprise here is a shirt dress. The floral pattern features pastel colours which are a big hit this summer and also make accessorising much easier! It is made of a chiffon material so even though it has long sleeves and a high neck it will still be cool during the summer.

I accidentally found the next outfit when just looking for the blazer. The mint colour is one I absolutely love at the moment and I think the embellished skirt looks so expensive (pretty sure I have seen a few very similar in Topshop). So now I am tempted to get the whole thing! Perfect for summer occasions.

My final item is a pair of shoes that everybody is going crazy for. I already have a white pair of cleated sole platforms in white that I am hoping to put on the blog this week to show you all, but I can't help but want these black ones too.

I hope you all fall in love with Pretty Little Thing as much as I have!
